Meet the Team
A little about me;
I have been working in IT over 14 years now and always have had a strong focus on Remote Desktop Services and all things related to End User Computing.
I currently work for Wortell, a Systems Integrator company in The Netherlands where I focus on End User Computing solutions mostly based on Microsoft Technologies.
I'm a Microsoft MVP on Remote Desktop Services (now part of Enterprise Mobility) since 2011.
I moderate the RDS TechNet forum and contribute Wiki articles
You can also see me speak at various IT conferences including BriForum, E2EVC and ExpertsLive.
You can also find my personal blog at themicrosoftplatform.net
Esther has worked in different roles and functions as an IT consultant after she finished her Master’s degree in Computer Science in 1997. She soon discovered that Server-Based Computing combined servers, desktops, and user experience in one solution and specialized in virtualization solutions, like Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft App-V, Microsoft PowerShell and Citrix NetScaler.
Esther works as a Solution Architect and Senior Consultant, designing and implementing Citrix solutions for both small-business and large enterprise infrastructures scaling up to 15,000 users. Ever since she hosted introduction days for technical female student candidates, Esther has shared her passion and knowledge for IT. What started with small internal meetings and a blog to report on the latest technologies has grown into international presentations at Citrix User Groups, events like E2EVC and Citrix Synergy and writing her first book, Citrix XenApp 6.5 Expert Cookbook for Packt publishing.
Esther is also awarded as a Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) by Citrix since 2015.
Cláudio Rodrigues has been working with RDS based technologies since the OS/2 based WinView days, dating back to the early nineties. In 2001 he was awarded the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional award (MVP) for Terminal Services (yes, RDS was called that), becoming the first ever MVP for RDS.
Later he founded Terminal-Services.NET, the company that brought products like WTSGateway Pro and SecureRDP to the market, technologies that now live on under the Parallels RAS umbrella.
He is well-known in the industry for not being a vendor fanboy, hating marketing and sales BS and for his honest opinions about anything related to RDS and VDI.
Kristin has worked for over 17 years as a sys admin, project manager, and IT consultant for small to medium sized businesses. She founded RDS Gurus in 2014.
Kristin co-authored the Microsoft Windows 2008 Server Terminal Services Resource Kit and the Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Remote Desktop Services Resource Kit. She has also written several whitepapers on bench-marking RDS environments which you can find on the RDS Gurus blog.
Kristin has been a Microsoft MVP for Remote Desktop Services (Enterprise Mobility) since 2009 and a Parallels VIPP since 2016.
Also an inventor, Kristin currently has two creations she is working on. In her spare time she enjoys her family, power tools and soccer—not all at once.
