Build a Proof-of-Concept RDS Azure IaaS Environment with FSLogix Apps

We've created a guide that walks you through the steps required to install a Proof-of-Concept (POC) environment for RDSH Full Desktop with FSLogix Apps. FSLogix Apps is a software agent that enables virtual desktop administrators to eliminate some of their biggest problems in VDI and RDSH. FSLogix Apps 2.1 allows admins to massively reduce the number of Windows Gold images, easily manage per-user applications, and optimize license costs while assuring compliance. December RDS hotfixes have been added to KB2933664 http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2933664   The main changes were: Device Redirection & Printing 3073630 Remote Desktop Easy Print runs slowly in Windows Server 2012 R2 Licensing 3092695 Licensing report file is corrupted in Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS environments for large report files 3084952 Users can't log on to a Windows Server 2012 R2-based server through remote desktop because of RDSLS database corruption   RemoteApp 3103000 RemoteApp windows disappear and screen flickers when you switch between windows in Windows 8.1 or Windows Server 2012 R2

All of us that blog here at RDS Gurus are Microsoft MVP's for Remote Desktop Services. For those of you interested in what this program is, read here. Each year, a Microsoft MVP's status is up for renewal.  (Freek and I happen to be up for renewal in the same month). Happy to say that Freek and I both got the MVP Award for Remote Desktop Services again this year.       Freek is getting his for the 5th year in a row and I am now at year 7. Truly honored, Microsoft! MVP Summit 2015 here we come!

Adding Conditional Access & MFA to Azure RemoteApp

Because the Azure RemoteApp client authenticates against Azure Active Directory (AAD) we are also able to leverage Conditional Access and Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) based on AAD.
